I was born and raised in the bustling lanes of Delhi, surrounded by the colorful chaos of Indian life, yet somewhere deep within me was a longing for something quieter, more balanced—something that only Japan could offer.

My journey toward Japan didn't start with a plane ticket. It began with an emotion—a feeling I couldn’t quite place as a teenager. The first time I watched a Studio Ghibli movie, I felt like someone had opened a window to my soul. The subtle silence in scenes, the depth of characters, the reverence for nature, and the poetry in everyday life—it mirrored what I had always felt but never seen expressed so beautifully. That was the moment I fell in love—with a culture, with a philosophy, and unknowingly, with a part of myself that was waiting to be found.

Over the years, my admiration for Japanese culture only deepened. I started learning about Zen philosophy, the art of Ikigai, Wabi-sabi, and Bushido. I wasn't just reading books—I was building a new way of thinking. I remember waking up at 5 AM to practice quiet reflection while reading the Tao Te Ching and The Book of Five Rings. There was something about the discipline, the grace in simplicity, and the beauty in impermanence that completely transformed my lifestyle. I started valuing silence over noise, stillness over speed, and depth over display.

This personal transformation naturally influenced my work. As a business owner in India dealing with handcrafted wood and resin exports, I found myself inspired by Japanese craftsmanship—by the devotion that goes into every stroke of a brush, every carve of a chisel.
